Yesterday 15th March at IE Tower in Madrid, Marta Balaguer Director of Operations of Activum Real Estate Consulting attended as a guest at the round table on digitalisation in companies of the event "Digitaliza tu Pyme"; promoted by Banco Santander and IE.
The event started with a welcome from Gonzalo Garland, Executive Vice President of IE Foundation and Blanca Sagastume, Executive Vice President of Santander Universities, Open Innovation & Blockchain.
Mosiri Cabezas from IE University talked about digitalisation and presented successful cases of digital transformation in companies.
Isabel Puig, moderator and executives from different companies, including Marta Balaguer and professors from IE University, presented a wide range of topics at the round table.
They were able to reflect on how SMEs approach the start of a digital transformation, what barriers they encounter in the process and where they are focusing in order to positively impact the entire infrastructure of their companies in this digitalisation process.
We share some of the contributions of our Director of Operations, Marta, during the round table; "We have identified the need to continue to address digital transformation as one of the main objectives of the company and its strategic planning. We are currently immersed in Data Management (with the aim of simplifying and streamlining processes).
We want to put order to the data we handle and give us INFORMATION: of our product in marketing, demand obtained, the traceability of the same and operations. Our goal is to be more agile in decision making both at the level of campaigns (marketing), public management projects and provide a better service to our customers.
We have planned and "mapped out" the way to address this digital transformation and incorporate it into the company's value chain.
The biggest digitalisation problems we have encountered are the implementation costs and the time of the people who have to help the digital transformation and the communication of the new culture and way of working so that people are involved and push this new culture".
