SPAIN'S LEADING DEVELOPERS OFFER MORE THAN 50,900 NEW HOMES FOR SALE

  • The province of Malaga, Community of Madrid, Barcelona and Seville, the areas with the largest supply of new-build homes in Spain

Currently in Spain there is a supply of 50,900 new homes for sale from the main national developers. An analysis carried out by Activum Real Estate Consulting takes into account data from the 16 main developers operating in Spain.

Aedas Homes leads the ranking with more than 8,850 homes on the market in 20 provinces. It is followed by Metrovacesa with a supply volume of 7,968 new-build homes. Third is Aelca with 5,251 new-build homes. It is followed by Vía Célere with 4,512 homes and Neinor Homes with 4,220 homes.

Malaga, Madrid, Barcelona and Seville: key provinces for new building projects

The province of Malaga is home to 7,594 new-build homes from the main developers. However, the city only has 1,903 homes in 18 developments. The supply is concentrated in the municipalities of Estepona (2,159), followed by Marbella (856) and Mijas (769).
The province of Madrid also has a large volume of homes for sale from large developers, but in this case it is the capital city that accumulates the largest volume with 2,750 homes. Alcalá de Henares is the municipality with the largest offer with 1,360 homes for sale, followed by San Sebastián de los Reyes with an offer of 363 homes.
Barcelona offers 7,056 homes throughout the province. The municipalities with the largest offer are the city itself with 1,339 homes, Terrassa with 938, Vilanova i La Gertrú with 593 and Mataró with an offer of 548 new-build homes.
In the province of Seville, Dos Hermanas has the highest number with 3,016, followed by Seville city (2,933) and Mairena del Aljarafe (333).

Amenábar leads the way for the future of new construction in Spain

Although the future is uncertain, the data show that Amenábar is the developer with the most plans for the future with 18 upcoming developments, followed by Metrovacesa (14), Aedas Homes (11), Aelca (8), Neinor (6), Acciona (7), Culmia (5), Insur (3), Neinor Homes (2), Kronos Homes (2), Habitat (1) and Nozar (1).
The areas where these promotions are expected are mainly Malaga (20), Madrid (11), Barcelona (8), Guipúzcoa (7) and Valencia (6).
