Interview with Marta Amado, REO Portfolio Manager at Activum Real Estate:
1. To begin with, could you share with us a summary of your professional career and the most important milestones of your career?
I have been in the real estate sector for more than 20 years and my entire professional career has been developed within the same sector, from different fields and areas over the years, but mainly focused on the marketing and management of all types of real estate assets. The most important milestones in my professional career have been to be part of the development and start of the marketing of more than 15 new construction projects throughout Catalonia, as well as the sale of more than 150 million euros of foreclosed assets from banks in the last 3 years.
One of the most challenging projects in recent years has undoubtedly been team management; one of the most difficult and stimulating tasks I have faced. A company's greatest asset is its people, its intellectual capital, and this is not reflected on the balance sheet.
2. What aspects of Activum Real Estate attracted you to join our team and what will be your role within the organisation?
Due to my professional career, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Activum in different stages and projects. I was familiar with their work philosophy, their ability to adapt when it came to providing the service required by their clients, as well as the quality of their team, both professional and personal. This constant desire to evolve, to reinvent itself and adapt quickly to the new needs of the sector, as well as, of course, its team, were the main attractions that motivated me to join the Activum team.
3. In your new role as REO Portfolio Manager, what do you think will be the biggest challenges you will face and how do you plan to address them?
My main challenges in the new position will be mainly the onboarding of new REO portfolios within the internal operations of the company, as well as the achievement of set milestones and the search and acquisition of new awarded product.
4. What strategies and approaches do you consider key to the management and sale of the second-hand housing portfolio?
First and foremost, we need to know the market and its needs, both in terms of demand and supply, as well as economically and financially. The challenge is to be able to make both points converge in time and form, in order to satisfy both the demands of our clients (Ownership) and those of the buyers who purchase that product.
5. What do you expect from the new [Re]evolution that we are currently experiencing at Activum?
As I have already mentioned, Activum is always evolving, adapting to the new needs and demands of the real estate sector. Being, in a way, a pioneer in the servicing world, creating trends and leading projects. I am very confident in Activum's leadership in this new stage of [Re]evolution and I am proud to be part of it.
We are very fortunate to have Marta on our team and we are confident that her experience and skills will be key to the continued success of Activum Real Estate. Welcome, Marta Amado! Together, we will continue to lead the [Re]evolution of the real estate sector.
