The market trend could lead to a 16% increase in property sales in the second half of 2016.
After this first half of the year, in which house prices have risen by 7.5% year-on-year, it is expected that this process will continue its current trend and continue to develop positively until the end of the year, when sales could reach an increase of close to 16%.
In the year to May, housing permits rose by 49.8% y-o-y, so the real estate sector is reviving. Clear evidence of this is the increase in construction employment, with nearly 13,100 new jobs in the first half of the year. This last fact and the favourable financial conditions offered by banks justify this growth, which is gradually recovering from the crisis and will continue to move towards recovery.
On the other hand, it should be borne in mind that the geographical areas are not homogeneous, so that all these forecasts will be concentrated only in certain communities such as Madrid and Catalonia, among others.
